Although Matt/Kupo loves Pokemon. the whole cat with a gold charm thing isn't necessarily meowth, but rather a Chinese mythological deal. Given this is a feline based ruins, I'm more impressed he used that as it fits.
I don't know how well known this is, but it's (sort of) useful (I didn't really use items much besides a max either or life water from time to time, mist potions on that final boss >.>) But you can sell any items you pick up and such for the same price you buy them for. So always spend all your money on checkpoint 1, because on the next check point you can just sell what you didn't use.
The trick to this game is your air resistance and cruising flight speed, you want to try to stay at 0 air resistance as long as possible. How do you know if your at 0 with out the best glider? It's simple really, when your speed is no longer going up or down. Spend your rocket fuel until you are going as fast as your glider will allow, then go down to 0 air resistance and cruise there for as long as possible until your nearing the water. Then just do the best you can to cruise at a high as possible speed as you can while near the water. If you have a lot of rocket fuel you can attempt to go back up again just remember to glide at 0 air resistance as long as possible so your speed gets you as far as possible before you start to slow down.
Out of all the game's I've played recently... just wow, the simplicity... yet it's so... enjoyable. I could play this for hours and if it wasn't for the music that probably never be the case!
It only takes a while to destroy at the start of the game, later on you can blow it up before wave 2 with some bomb and fire arrows... that would make the last levels far to easy to beat.
All these people complaining about getting nothing from beating their castle... there are TWO things you get from it. 1: Their archers can no longer hide in it... and trust me, they do if you are near by the castle and they have archers. and 2: Every shot at the castle earns your arrow exp and if you use the normal arrow, you get gold... both are VERY useful.
