It seems I have done something wrong. I was under the impression that the game autosaves. But now that I loaded the game after a pause, I'm back to the very beginning (the tutorial) and everything I reached so far (Boss 15) is gone. Do I have to manually save?
As mentioned ingame the autosave is volatile and can be lost for reasons out of my control, so you should manually save whenever you wanna quit. I'll also work on including online saves.
It could be funny, if it weren't so sad: Due to the newest update, a whole branch of the game, the army, doesn't contribute anything to your progress anymore. You can safely ignore it completely, until you're strong enough to face the next challenge (in my case mosquitos to 65). This so kaputt right now.
Yesterday I reported about a way to somehow survive until nomad assimilation - today the developer took it away. Why is it, that he wants this game to be as slow and ungratifying as possible?
@brilliand I'm glad I could read your comment before leaving. Your Farm/Master/Druid hint made me curious. Based on Farm/Stonehenge/Master/Homestead/Magic Frog it worked quite good. But only when using an autoclicker for the "all staffs" button was it, that I could compete with the former Butcher/Wagon combo. So, while it is not as strong as Butcher/Wagon, with the help of an autoclicker that worked despite the memory leak of the game I could get done in 3h, what yesterday would have taken me weeks. That was a valuable tip, and I'm fine with using the autoclicker until I have the nomad assimilation. I thought it could help others as well, that's the reason for this wall of text. Thanks! I would appreciate if you all would consider not downvoting, so that others have a chance to read it.
@SH101 I understand that, and I should have added "in a reasonable time". Currently it takes days to just level up Gold Mine from 3 to 4. Then another week for well 15 to 16. Just examples, the list is long. If waiting months to get to the next layer (here plains) is what is considered reasonable gaming, than the game is not the right one for me. I prefer to be entertained from a game :) So, I rated up all comments pointing to the nomad assimilation, for others to be informed of it. But for me that's a search for another incremental game now to spend some bucks in (I'm glad I didn't in this one).
Are companies the maximum research? No more researches after that? Just want to be sure, I don't just have to wait for some milestone for new researches to appear, before founding a new village.
@Brilliand, if you're right, then there's no way to achieve it for me. I did druid and am close to 4th elf assimilation - and I can't progress, because I don't even come close to the values I were before. That means, I can't even do any revolution. I hope you're wrong, else it is the most stupid decision a developer could make for a game. Which is preventing any progress.
There are quite a lot issues, but I'm not sure wether they are bugs. All of a sudden, while running idle, all my workers BUT hunters went up from ~100m to over 3b! Of course that killed the progress, since food couldn't be produced fast enough with only 100m hunters. I see no reason why that happened. Also, just as unexpected, on the science tab suddenly things popped up that I didn't enable through buying, like guilds. It felt like the game literally exploded at that point :D
Liked it until the boring "just be quick enough, or repeat until christmas" levels started. In a puzzle I want to think. Else I'd chosen a dexterity game.
Ok, several resets later, I'm back to buildings (still no wagon, still no butcher, assimilation points are back, but due to missing wagon/butcher I don't come even close to where I was -4th elf assimilation after druids- so can't even make a revolution)
I dared to click on the bug compensation. What a mistake! Now I see this: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fscreenshots.firefox.com%2FmIKwMncPuSrVBtqp%2Fwww.kongregate.com
Yep, right, it's not only butcher and wagon, all assimilations are gone as well, and the food at start of game from warehouse as well. Only happiness ist still around.
After having lost many cows due to splitting a 50 pack, I propose to let the packs split into their smaller packs (a 50 pack splits into 5x10 packs, a 10 pack into 2x5 packs). It not only makes more sense, it also prevents cows from disappearing left and right due to too many cows at once.
@yoyo529 go to options menu (dice icon top right), select "Reset(options)", and on the next screen select the top option. That one is as if you'd just assimilated.
NEVER use ctrl-click to split cows. I did so with the 50 pack. Half of the cows went offsreen, unreachable. Why aren't such easy things as screen containment working?
A serious advice for the dev: Instead of a steam version, you should quickly learn how to deal with the development of a game professionally. No update should go live without thorough testing. This one would have revealed in just seconds after playing, so I guess you even don't play your own game. No cook stays in job, when not trying their own creations. The people on Kong are generally giving, but a mess like this will cost you players. More such messes will cost you all players. Be more professional. Then dream of a steam career.
