Theres a big problem with trying to target close to your turret in turrets mode. Since the aiming cursor wont go over yourself, aiming at a target who is right next to you is almost impossible since the camera swings in all directions and the cursor just wont go close enough.
awesome game, very complete and filled with extra options and modes to keep us hooked. The only comment id have is towards the camera... sometimes it doesnt show all the action, and some characters (in 2 or more characters battles) end up out of sight... sometimes even the player ends up not being able to see where he is because of that
I believe everyone's biggest problem is the isometric perspective... the controls use up-down-left-right to move diagonally, so to prevent constant screwups you'd need to keep your head tilted 45 degrees sideways to have intuitive controls. Solstice and Equinox had the same kind of view, same kind of controls, but had an option to swap controls from isometric (up -> diagonally up+left) to direct (up -> straight up). The environments become more challenging because you're not moving in parallel to the obstacles, but the controls become more intuitive, and with simultaneous arrow movement (up+left -> up+left) I believe it would improve the controls greatly
one of the best games on kongregate, great work on this very unique and fun concept. The instructions could have been better translated, but I gave five stars to this great game, not to its instruction manual!
The only fix i could find (there has to be one ;) ) would be to reduce the delay between shots, but other than that it's a great experience
i liked the idea, and the graphics, its a nice and funny game
I liked the way the controls worked, except for the fact that you pretty much die when the mouse cursor goes out of the game window... That game would rock in full screen, or with boundaries for the cursor
The hit detection seemed a bit off at times as well
no 1 player option, horrible graphics, hit detection is very bad, and you can go off the screen indefinitely.. there arent even any indications to show which goal is which...
2 minutes playing this was too much
the level transitions are indeed a problem
I like the fast pace they give to the game and it wouldn't be the same without it, but sometimes its just impossible to avoid landing on something you dont want to... for example, the Start button on the opening menu is right where a gray star is in the very first level, so you pretty much lose points right away
Interresting concept though
I might have preferred it with more challenge per level, but more time to gather points... with something like a minimum point threshold to clear a level, since as it is, you can just stand still outside the screen and still clear any level
using the same key to fire and reload makes it easy to miss targets... also theres no way to reload without emptying all bullets, so a separate reload button would be welcome
beat the game with a single life using the falcon (the no-gun ship)
the bonus ship is... wow
a little short however
and one big point that would make this game easier to play... the text "mine field approaching" or "power up" shouldn't block the whole screen when they appeared, I died a few times on my first attempt because of it. At least the Power Up text shouldn't appear anymore after you hit max power
There's also often too much stuff on the screen at once, with your ship, missiles, bullets, your enemies, enemy projectiles, and the dozens of red power dots, its sometimes hard to distinguish what's what
Very fun game though, I'd like a sequel :D
great graphics, fun game, it shows good potential
however the double jump is nullified if it is used too early in the jump, there should be a way to go around that
and boo @ not being able to reach level 3 :p
Great game, fun concept, but two points irk me
First the blood very quickly ends up covering the whole screen, and most enemies are colored in red... very hard to see them with the screen shaking at every bullet being fired
Second is the fact that you can't win... would be nice to have a boss or a final level where zombies pour out of every direction...
oh, and the way the character respawns isn't very appropriate, I had no idea where I appeared, and was vulnerable to die again the very second I respawned
not bad, but the aiming cursor should be a lot more obvious to find, every single particle that flies off a dead enemy is bigger and more colorful, it's easy to lose track of where you're aiming
Also an explanation of what the powerups do couldn't hurt
Still a fun experience
