When I said "this is why i dont support it anymore", what I meant was I fix one thing (in this case security), then it breaks something else and then people complain about that and have no patience to wait for that to be fixed.
The saving bug is due to some of the security changes. This is why I dont support it anymore. I woulndt bother arguing with mcluvvin, he has been bad mouthing the game since he started playing, yet has been playing for ages. Besides, he doesnt have to play, and I would recommend that he doesnt.
It has been hacked again. I spent hours on it trying to stop it happening again. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do now. I did want to shut it down, but as it has badges, greg doesnt want me to. I'm not sure what I will do, maybe remove multiplayer and the disputedgalaxy site
I appreciate the support, thanks everyone has been far more understanding than I was expecting. I think I am just going to fix the game tomorrow with no accounts. Everyone will have to start again. I will close the security holes so that this won't happen again, and I will work much harder on getting a new bigger better starfighter sequel ready
runerocker, a firewall wouldnt have stopped the problem and would block everyone trying to connect to the game. So don't talk down to me about stuff you obviously dont understand
ok the users table was deleted, and it is a pain. I talking to the hosts tech support about restoring a back-up. Calling me an idiot doesnt help, and no its not as simple as putting in an "anti-hacking system", and I havent got money to be throwing around on a backup server for this game that doesnt even pay for itself. If you think I dont care, then why am I spending money every month on this game that makes nothing and is just an endless hastle? There is no reason for me to fix this other than to keep you guys happy, which to be honest, seems like an impossible task.
Thernan, if you click "show more" on the description there is a link to a program that will let you use a joypad with the game. It is definately worth it. I played it 2 player on my TV and it was cool!
I thought that when I wiped the gangs i was in for a torrent of hate, but more people seem pleased! A nice surprise, must be the christmas cheer and all that.
