Holding keys should be a perfectly valid thing to do... it should make one sound and then stop. It's not responsive enough -- make the game 100 frames per second, since there's no real animation complexity to make it use CPU, and carefully edit your sample tracks to have absolutely no silence at the start and as little attack time as possible.
Please put instructions in the game itself... Perhaps on the pause screen you should also add. ;)
People like to start a game straight away, see what kinda stuff it has, then read the instructions if absolutely necessary. ;p
it's pretty hard having to fight the boss and normal enemies at the same time! But this game has cool graphics and sound, and the title screen is well made.
Why does the ball go to the same trajectory for different places on the paddle? I want every pixel of the length of the paddle to give a different trajectory.
Good game, but the plot synopsis at the beginning is difficult to hear with the "poing!" noise over it. Make the speech louder and the "poing" quieter..
