Level 5 is impossible for me. Looking at the walkthrough there is supposed to be a cart at the beginning but instead there are just some wheels attached to nothing... so the snail just falls down the hole near the exit.

Painfully annoying to play. Apart from the controls (which are poorly chosen and not customisable), the truth is that the game is trivial and boring for the most part, until you get to ridiculous wall jumping areas, which are just annoying (note: not the same as "challenging"). They wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't so slow... there is no excuse for a game as simple as this to run quite this slowly even on a reasonably good machine. It's the variability of the slowdown that kills me... I might need to jump off the wall 0.3 seconds or 0.6 seconds from now depending on slowdown, and in this game there are places where that is a critical difference.

Bizarrely, the game cannot start on a system with no sound card (installed or drivers). You can get to the character selection / save slot screen but no further. Don't even ask how I found this out.

Someone in comments said switch to shadow priest around level 40 ... I tried it several times between levels 38 and 44, and it is nowhere near as strong as a pure holy priest. Holy priest never dies or needs to rest at these levels unless two high level enemies are pulled at a bad time; shadow priest's health was constantly going down and so rests seemed much more likely. Main problem seems to be the cooldown and damage/healing concentration of the Mind Blast skill, which always seems to trigger on full health for me or very low health for the enemy, meaning it is very inefficient in dps or hps terms.

Played the game through again, managed to beat all 26 levels without using the sword. It was a bit hairy at the beginning, and also boring throughout the whole game having to fly all the time and pause to collect the souls, but not all that challenging.

bug with the bank: if you bank a stack of common items (e.g. crafting mats), then earn another item, you'll then have two stacks of that item. It is not possible to merge these two stacks. Banking the second stack will create a third stack. etc., up to five. I am not currently in a position to investigate whether this directly causes problems with crafting e.g. only the first stack looked at (which might be a very small stack), or only one stack used at a time.

This is my second play through, because at some point before badges were rewarded my save was deleted. The end boss has become ridiculous. I can't imagine how he could possibly be beaten by someone who went into the strategic tree. Anyway, I thought I had been screwed over because I had gone for mostly passive skills, but I just about managed to scrape through by buying Persistence II (weaken power) with my left-over 3 points and using sturdiness II + that + innerforce I + all out attack, and keep repeating that until his armor started getting busted, stopping to use the heal skill if I got hit. After what seemed like forever I suddenly started doing 60-70 four times per round, which was nice.

I really enjoy puzzle games where you know exactly what you need to do but still need to attempt it 50 times because of slight random variations in the game. I especially love it when the Retry button is so conveniently small.

OK, finished the game now. In general I found this game needlessly frustrating. All the most annoying things in this game are related to the controls. - it is common in platformers to allow jumping when the character is a little way over the edge of it. - there is no reason jump cannot be made to be up, and flip assigned to down. - I found the climbing mechanism very awkward on work PCs and my own laptop, and a lot easier on my gaming PC. This is because the gaming PC has a keyboard that can have three keys pressed at once (in this case, Arrow, S and D). It is very common for keyboards to not be able to have more than two keys pressed at once. The whole climbing system should be either completely changed or the key changed / additionally bound to Shift. Shift + two other keys works on almost all keyboards.

I haven't got too far into the game, but is there any reason jump couldn't have been up arrow? It makes the game playable with one hand, which is far better than having to use two hands to press just three buttons. Also a helpful hint: platform games are nicer if holding down the jump button while in the air causes you to jump next time you touch the ground. The controls will feel clunky and unresponsive otherwise.

Basically, you can't do well or get good times on this game if you have a laptop keyboard or a cheap keyboard, because typically on those you can only press two keys at once.

Jump should be up not A. You don't need a separate key for opening doors, just use the same as for atttacking. The forg/fish level is too long and annoying. I don't understand the ending.
