All righty, feel like I've maxed out my scores pretty good now. 3 slices score, 1968%, 2nd place weekly. 2 slices, 1954%, 2nd place weekly. Only levels 3,4,8 not 100%. My biggest secret trick: The Splinter Undercut, on any block cut it with a super thin cut on the bottom. The block will shake and move. Use da physics wisely :)
I forget exactly how to do this trick I figured out (been a very long time), but to get the boss monsters you need to repeat beat the game. But to make it faster, I think if you reload the game after beating the last boss (but before clicking to end the game) the game saves you getting the boss, but you can fight the boss again and get a new boss monster again. Repeatedly.
Never played the game before(its cute). The counter went up to about 976 doeos, then stopped. I also earned some other badges at the same time. Reloaded the page. Now it shows none of the badges earned, and the 1000 doeos are stuck at 0. But on my user page it does show my Easy Doeo badge gotten just now. I guess the Blocks thing borks things up for now. Will check back Monday evening when Kong offices are staffed again and they had some time to fix things.
I like the game. ☻Some party tips: Make your avatar and 1 hired hunter(weak, in the back) max AP. Then use 1 hired hunter as your main DPS and spam them.(rogue or spear seems to work well, mage not so well) You'll want ninja speed gear from the secret shop and rogue class. Also sword+shield to survive better. ►When running the missions make these preferred choices:magic chest, chest, wizard, shop, stairs, portal, dark, wanderer, monster, legion. Magic chests can be super profitable, but do sometimes have enemies. Still worth it. Dark rooms are usually bad, small chance for good. Portals are mostly good, but rarely bad. ►Item usage: Always have some unshock/unfreezes, revives/heals, you can infinitely use items before the fight starts to get to full life+chili pepper. ►On enemies:SKIP on 1 tough enemy left alive if there are more waves+you have low AP. The 1 enemy will have low AP+do weak combos. You will also store your extra AP till the next turn for massive combos(max 20 starting AP)
Once you get the Pulse Gun as a primary weapon you can stop buying that expensive upgrade for a long time. It's a superb weapon that has great spread, meaning you can concentrate more on dodging. Another tip is it seems to almost always to be best to buy the biggest key chest. Also concentrate on doing quests. Oh, and the key to dodging and damaging is to use your stomp (down) to regain more double jumps.
Great great game. One big trick that can sometimes work out is choose Gedo as your god, then depending on luck, you can dodge the now friendly animals (and pick up lots of animal guarded chests) all the way to the end area of the game and buy some sweet loot. Then you can lose Gedo's favor, and get an actually useful god. One thing this game needs though is to make a system where past scores matter. For instance, let's say the more stuff you did (bestiary? unique quests?) the more stuff on the starting heroes is controllable. Sequel?
@Somelame - Pincers can be quite tricky at higher levels, imo they tend to be rougher than bosses. Bosses are the easiest fight usually. Pincers vary wildly, but I'd say they are the toughest fight on average. Skirms flanks are also usually easy. And duels are in the middle. There's also almost never any need to get to +41 energy to win any map at low areas. Try few reactors. (you can win most maps quickly and reliably with 0-2 reactors)
To deal with infesting aliens use Base Cannon tech and/or microlasers. Freeze is also good. And since they use spores that take over ships use ships that are not worth a lot (in other words, don't mainly use capitals vs them) And since there are so many spores you will want lots of bullets. Also, Self Destruct mod will kill infestation attempts. Put this all together... and what do you get. Fighter Yard using a Spectre fighter with Freeze/Cloak/SD/Shield + Base Cannons + Base Shield. 1-2 Fighter Yard of this can hold off an entire Infestation base. The other aliens, the freeze clouds, can be beaten easily with base shield/cannons and a shielded Cobra.
Try bringing a Void Lance to help with capitals. Also try using not as many reactors, and use firerate miners rather than extractors to get quicker capitals out yourself. Biolabs can be useful but mostly you want to use them with freeze and phalanx/gladiators.
What the game needs are 2 things. 1, enemies should never spawn on you. And the way to stop that is to phase enemies in like the death beam. 2nd, the mouse going out of bounds needs to be dealt with. Also, why can't I strafe at match start?
A good tactic for digging is to create 2 U-shaped loops, for your 4 peons. This allows them to dig from 4 access points on the 2 loops to get the bonus gold ASAP.
The best thing to do when all the PCs are hacked is to spam the electric door lock on certain humans. (not the lights) That will get you a lot of spare money. Also the blue bot can be decent assassins if you have 1 enemy in floor and then hack the blue bot as he passes over the enemy. Locking enemies off a floor is an easy way to hack. Finally, the final red zombie skill on row 3 is a total game changer. Get it ASAP.
