If you guys want to grind for EXP easily, go to area 7 bridge, and set up 4+ pits/spikes near the castle, and let the game kill all the skeleton waves while you go do something else for a few minutes. This trick can work in some other early areas (not all because of early drakes/orcs or too limited start gold or few enemies) but works best in 7. Of course make sure your castle has high hp/regen and boost exp gain.
Hate XP per unit,it ruins the game. XP should pool like Gold and the game would be so much better. At least pool towards each type, mages/warriors. The messed up XP in this game makes it frustrating as there is a lot of do overs to get the right "magic balance" of XP distributation. That doesn't take smarts,just do overs(unknown enemy XP). And If you've the Skill,Rogues/Archers should be placeable right away! On Berserk/Criticals. TOO TOO random. Needs a new idea! Maybe percent damage? Like Norm damage + (% MaxHP) damage? Make it if the warrior is a Critical HP damager = norm dam +5% of maxHP (NOT max hp Crippling). That makes a "Good for bosses" Warrior. AND Please! Allow highest lvl statuses to OVERRIDE his last shot. If 1 Poison hits when the last poison is almost done, it's a pure waste! &If he hits an enemy 3 times with Slow the LAST SLOW is the one that should work! &Give us "behaviors" per units. Like Strike the weak, Strike the strong, Strike the "unstatused", "never kills"

Auto-money trick: open a 2nd browser window. Go back to game. Turn off game music, but leave sounds. Make convoy exactly as knight-boss-booster. launch UAV. pause game with P. hold mouse click on bottom right corner of Resume button. dont move mouse. use alt+tab to switch to the other browser window. make sure mouse has not moved. release mouse click. do whatever in this 2nd browser window. Makes about 1500 to 4500 money. (boost laser, grenade, and missile upgrades to make more money) When the game sounds stop, go back and repeat. This trick works because of the homing attacks of the UAV+missile, and that the grenade in the low and back Knight clears the ground. The frontal Booster laser clears the skies. Boss is just for the 1 UAV.
Game is a pretty cool concept, I dig it. But you listened to too many players who wanted all these easy mode options like auto harvest, auto suppression, and recovery from asteroid belt (basically a great idea for a natural time limit), that I can see in the comments. I mean I just set things to auto harvest 20%, auto suppress at 3.7, sort planet list by distance, scout them all, seed the habitables, then crank the speed to 16, wait, and BUY all the tech points (this absolutely should not be an option) I need to win the mission. Literally no danger so far. It's too too easy. Maybe a lot of their suggs should be in the game but leave them in Easy. Might change Tech Points into each civilization gives their own type of points, so as you go on you MUST let the civs get high techs and THEN harvest them. Killing them right when they get to 5.0 is perhaps still a too easy way to harvest tech. Anyway good game and I 5 star'd/fav'd it cause I see its potential. But too much easy mode additions
The gold hammers are only there as a catch up mechanic to get the right number of hammers. Otherwise people would just grind the first areas of the game forever. I find the row energy+energy the best upgrade, but first enough little attack so you can 1 hit most enemies. Then maybe the rest in potion then chariot. Mostly easy game if you concentrate on row changing. The bit I would change might be on changing rows to make it clearer what row Im in, and make treasure chest/pots do something. (maybe chests have a potion/chariot randomly, and X pots = chariot) 2 bugs I found, game freezes if you die to the skulls at the first boss. And 2nd, if you pause when the enemy is attacking, you can dodge their attack.
Ahhh, there is a hidden high score for killing every enemy. (look at the high score tables) I guess that is a secret challenge mode. Anyone skilled enough to do it?
I've sped it up so it's 2.5 times faster, since having it appear all at once looked odd. Hopefully that's fast enough for the fast readers but not too fast for the slow readers.
Nah ATBu (replying to top comment). My comment on Regeneration being useful was just to win battles for beginners (for the badge of the day) who are finding it hard to win at all. NOT on getting medals. Regeneration is much superior to Shield for that reason. Average acid damage per step is 14.5. Regen heals 100 hp over 2 turns. That means you would need to step in 7 puddles to beat Regeneration for healing. In addition, Regeneration works when you get a chance to use it. While Shield needs to be used when you run into acid, making it harder for beginners to use (lets say you just used Quickness and are waiting for cool down), which was who my comment was aimed at, beginners. For Medals it goes without saying that more HP is useless because lots of medals require low or no damage at all. ● I stand by Regeneration being better than Shield for newbies. ●
Super awesome game, a hidden gem! The easiest tips I can give is, abuse Alert all the guys in turn 2(especially Farro), HP+gun upgrades, Quickness, and stay away from vents/spawn points, and move in groups.
Stage 4 wasn't that hard. Just make sure you guys have Minotaurs and lots of them, with the Beefy upgrade. Worked fine for me. Important thing in this game is to reset your Upgrades for the next map correctly. That's why you get so few points, because you are supposed to be strategic. If you want a general strategy though, the hero avatar upgrades are always okay, especially Alchemy. The 3rd Manticore is nice too. I find the archer to be best. He can take some hits, but also do range kiting cheeze.
Such a great little game. For a special challenge I've tried beating the final boss with no upgrades, and almost won. Couldn't pull it off though. :( Give it a shot, y'all!
