tipanii: Possibly the game couldn't connect to the Kongregate stat tracking server at the time. If you see the green light above chat, load your saved game and you should get the badge.
SalamanderCraige: It is the same music, but there's nothing nefarious about it. We both licensed it. If I'd played the Campaign game earlier I may have gone with a different song.
The 'clean slate' scrolls were automatically added to the inventories of everyone whose saved games were started prior to version 1.2. With the balance changes in that update I thought it was only fair to give people a chance to re-tune their characters.
There's currently no other way to get them.
For people asking about the sequel, I have a forum on my site (biclopsgames.com)
It's mostly dead at the moment, but that's the best place to make suggestions about the game. I'd rather keep it all in one place.
It's not a mistake or an oversight that you lose your progress when you die on Hardcore, that's the whole point of that mode. If it were up to me people wouldn't be forced to play it, it's not for everyone.
The problem a few people are experiencing due to crashes during the final fight (multiple clones) will be addressed in a minor update later today. You don't need to restart your whole game.
Alright, this is getting a bit ridiculous. Let me nip this shocking expose in the bud.
I'm aware of FastCrawl, obviously. It's a good game, albeit one with a different focus to mine. I wanted to do something in the same genre, and put my own spin on it. There's absolutely nothing shameful or unethical about this: almost every game is a synthesis or refinement of games that have come before. We're all standing on the shoulders of giants here, and I think it's a little misguided to hold up FastCrawl as a beacon of originality. It borrows its combat system from Disciples (which is one of my favorite games, and why I made a similar choice.)
The list of things in my game which are not in FastCrawl is much longer than the opposite list. We share no art or sounds, and the few types of monster that are in both games are just generic fantasy creatures. When people start throwing around words like "rip-off", it irks me a little.
The game hasn't been updated for several days, and that wouldn't happen as the result of an update anyway. Flash games download and run on your machine, any changes are not reflected in your game unless/until you refresh the page.
mezio: Achievements have not been reset. I've talked to people who got them before the update and are having no issues. If you are, it's a mystery. Try loading your saved game again and see if that helps.
reDust: Using the number keys to select skills in combat was one of the changes in the most recent update.
The 'Clean Slate' scrolls are new, everyone who had an existing savegame at the time of the update got four of them to help take the sting out of the balance changes.
The new version is out. Please be careful guys, I don't want anyone to lose their high level hardcore party because they were still expecting a one-hit cakewalk.
