It's a nice game, for the most part. However, I'm really irked by the same "Kill X number of guys in Y direction" quest layout (every time) and the amount of grinding necessary to increase your standing with factions.
There's something really amusing about simulating and then flying a rocket. Not sure how this uses the Shoot! concepts (maybe the hit testing?) but that's alright. 5/5
You should probably customize this game a bit more with bosses, enemies with differently behaving projectiles, etc. It's a good start, though, and the graphics are nice.
Great spin on the tutorial techniques. The game is a bit too hard for me, though, and it would improve the game (albeit minorly) if you deleted all powerups after you lose the game for aesthetic appeal.
Sounds and backgrounds weren't too great, and the difficulty actually goes down over time...however, the ship graphics were pretty good and I liked the gameplay compared to the other entries, so 3/5.
