I think a lot of people here are missing the fact that you can pick up multiple orbs and throw them at the same time. Many times one throw of 5 orbs will do it. You actually get bonuses for hitting more than one target at a time.
SplankMX34: You can't let targets fall off the bottom of the screen unhit. If you let a whole platform go unhit, although you may not have gotten any wrong colors, you'll still have your meter drop.
Zeelzy: In the game, it clearly says you can't lose in normal mode, you can only lose in challenge mode, which makes the easy badge possible. To quit after you've hit your quota, just press 'p' to pause and go from there.
Dilts36: There are 3 ways to change colors including hotkeys.
The damage boost multiplies your damage by a percentage. If you are all talking about the damage boost with machine gun, which you are, if you get a 20% boost to 1 damage, it's only 1.2 damage, which is rounded to 1. If you get a 20% boost to a gun that does 20 damage, you'll do 24. The damage buffer levels up, so you can get up to 50% damage with one buffer.
LobsterMobster: Yeah, I kind of agree. If you look at the "learn more" page it's much more marketed as a donation. I'm torn, because I do think the extra content is cool and you're getting more than just a donation. But I agree that making sure people know it's more than just getting the content, it's about helping me to make better games in the future, is important.
Asgard: You can repair fully destroyed guns just so you know. You don't need to repair them. Also, thanks for the constructive feedback. Based on all the good comments I'm getting, I'm considering releasing a v.1.5 in a few weeks with a shitload of changes.
For anyone suffering from lag, you might consider playing the game in IE, I've found a 20 fps difference. Also, adjusting the graphics settings can help a bit.
pdbogen: Experience increases damage, gun health, shortens reload times, and also increases the number of pieces a shell explodes into or the number of times lightning jumps from enemy to enemy. Upgrading weapons manually based on experience is a suggestion I'm getting a lot, I'll definitely be looking into it!
Alrighty, one big post!
LobsterMobster: The other turrets aren't really meant to be your main weapons, hence the faster reload times. In the later levels, you get 5 total gun slots. So if you want to double your fire rate, just double the number of that weapon.
As far as having more content, I totally agree, and in the cliche words of Jerry Maquire: "help me, help you!" If I could I would make 50 guns for the game, but being that I do this for a living, my desire to eat forces me to meet deadlines and budgets. Essentially, my ability to give more content is directly linked to how much support the game gets. If you want more content for a game, support it! If you want more games from Hero Interactive, support me! I rely on yours and other people's support, which is why I wanted to reward that support with the extra content.
That may have been my fault. While people were playing I made an update to the game that allows turrets to aim lower than before. Because Kongregate renamed the game file, the saves didn't work. From here on out it should be fine. Sorry about that.
