I'll upload a version with bug fixes soon that will also give you the badges if you load a saved game where you've already done everything. (However, loading a save from the end of the game likely won't work, as it counts as a chapter 3 savegame...)
If you're going to give the game a low score, give reasons why.
Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to get a comment simply saying "1/5" for no reason?!
How would you feel if you made a game and got comments like that?
When commenting, imagine yourself as the person *receiving* the comment, and think "how would I feel about getting a comment like this on something that I made?"
(I know I should just ignore the haters and everything, but it's sort of hard since they just don't seem to get that games are actually made by real people... And they're hurting the game's score.)
I should listen to that level 1 person who types in all caps and stop making games at all; he DOES make good, convincing points as to why, after all!
Also, if you have more than four allies, only four are in your party; you can switch out other allies by using the Switch button on the party screen.
If you have questions about the Trilobite Keys, read the other comments here.
The escape pod door is the one at the NORTH end of the ship. Are you sure you're checking the right one?
Also, I don't think it's possible to release a game WITH badges because of how Kongregate works...
And if pressing Z doesn't work, make sure caps lock is off.
Lag is usually caused by other things running on your computer and taking up CPU power... Or your computer overheating.
To people who say things like Lantzalot's comment there... Could you elaborate on WHERE you got "warped into a wall"? I've never encountered that before.
Also, you have no saved games where you aren't in the "wall" to load AT ALL?
There IS an auto save feature.
The green flashing means you're poisoned (haven't you ever played any other RPGs before?!).
I'll perhaps try to get an update released soon that gives you the badges if you've already done the things before the game was released!
And it's good to know that SOME people who can actually read, and who appreciate the story of RPGs... So thank you for the support, people!
Also, I'll get a new version up soon that fixes probably all of the bugs!
If you experience a bug though, try:
- Making sure that Caps Lock is off when trying to exit menus.
- Refreshing the page and loading your saved game again if your inventory becomes corrputed, you spawn in a wall, etc.
A lot of people are going to rate this down because they have short attention spans and are unwilling to engage their mind with anything other than action. Sigh.
You likely had CAPS LOCK on. It warns you to turn it off on that screen before you start playing, because it causes the Z key to not work (since only "z" seems to be detected and not "Z", due to my coding).
Maybe you should try asking on his userpage instead of this game's comment area.
You mentioned something about item descriptions. You are aware that you can see various things about items in the inventory by rolling over them while holding E, A or P, right?
Cecil, that bug is likely related to your computer in some way rather than the game, since no bug could cause lag like that.
Last commenter person, are you sure you have reactions equipped? You actually have to equip them from the menu before you can use them.
Also, if you press F in battle, the FPS shows in the top-right corner. What does it usually stay around in battle?
Generally though, you have to press the reaction button right as you make contact with an enemy, or they make contact with you (though it's different for spells...).
You can attack allies and heal enemies because some strategies can use those sorts of things. For example, some undead creatures might be weak against healing magic. And if an ally has armour that absorbs water damage, and some other ally has a weapon that INFLICTS water damage...
I don't like it in RPGs where you have to go out of your way to just battle monsters to be good enough to tackle the next dungeon, so I wouldn't make the player do that in mine.
However, if you've been RUNNING from every fight and not getting treasure chests or buying items, that's when you'll be underpowered.
You can only load Chapter 1 saves; if you save the game at the end, it counts as a Chapter 2 save (for loading in the next chapter) and will be greyed out in this chapter.
And you actually have to give the pipes to Meraeador before you can get the badge.
(Tsk, someone who commented earlier is telling me to ADD save files where there clearly are some? Do such people just not even LOOK at menus or something?)
