Hmm... I could see luck boosting drop rate and not being broken, but the values would be uselessly small tho. Odds are it would need to be something like 1% boost to the drop rate per point with 100% simply doubling the current drop rate of items. If you go higher then that its too strong, but lower then that would be no point. Would also only really be useful on a merchant, and maybe an assassin.

@zephyr, remember to look at this from a programmers viewpoint. He needs to me the skills, make sure the sprites work right, make sure the skills are not buggy, decide on how to obtain said new job (quest, npc, ect) since all others will be the same. Create a new stat growth formula, maybe fix the weapons so novice can no longer use a whole lot of stuff they should not be using right now, and so on. That is just 1 class, and there are a lot more. Even 1 is a dam godsend right now.

The dev said there will be a storage system added in, but I have not heard from them in a bit. They said something about school, so I would conclude that updates to this game will be few and far between. So long as they do not give up on this project, this can become something seriously big.

I have a feeling there is a bug with the quests, but I have not been able to source or locate it yet. Ive been sitting down doing nothing in a zone and calculating how long it takes to get a quest. On average, in a 30min time range, I am offered between 1-3 quests. However, every now and then I wont get any quests for hours. I feel that that is not as intended and something breaks the quest script. If anyone finds an action, series of actions, or trigger that causes quests to stop spawning, post it here so others can test it ok :)

As a SinX player, I can say that double attack did indeed hit plants twice when it went off. I cant speak for other classes tho. I think I saw a monk toss 5 spirits at a plant and hit it 5 times before too. I do recall something missing them a lot tho...

Right, if you go to Ygg roots, you need to die to get back. Not sure if you can save your location past that point, but dont, you will get stuck.

Minor update from earlier post: While it is true you can net very high exp gains from end game quest targeting, the overall exp over time seems to be better in some areas then that mid game. At Moc_fild17, only the MVP can really kill you, but due to his level, the quest rewards in the area are boosted rather nicely. You will incur a small profit loss using orange pots, but the exp gained more then makes up for it. Exp per quest target is nearly 13k each. Just drop any quest that has you target Phreeoni. Ant eggs are best farmed in other maps nearby, and blue plants can be an easy farm elsewhere as well as needed.

@King, the higher level the weapon, the higher the damage, but less card slots it has. Without the refinement system in place. I would opt for a higher level weapon for more damage rather then more card slots. BUT if you want to go with card slots, hunt down a 4 slot Main Gauche. In classic RO I think they dropped from Hornets.

What is the hardest area with the maps we have access to? I would think the area around Rach eh? Since they need to have plants, it cant be a dungeon, unless the dungeon has plant life (and those are rare) The hardest areas I can think of are Gef tower, the fields around Rach, and the roots of Ygg just before Nifelheim

You do not need to be fighting to get a quest. It seems to be a random time based factor that starts when you enter a zone. Just sit and idle until they come. It can take a long while sometimes.

Currently testing the map just before Ygg roots, and Gef_dun01. Gef seems to give more exp, but has a higher chance of not getting what you want. It does have low level zombies and red bats that we can kill easy enough (red bats are an easy farm in Orc Dun I think)

Ok I have verified that this is not an exploit and the exp is better, but not extremely so due to the randomness of it. I will ask you guys to help me find the best location for this. The amount of exp a quest gives is part based off of how many quest objectives you have, and part the average level of the zone you are in. If you go to a map with lots of plants and lots of high level monsters, you sometimes can get a quest that nets you 40-100k exp on a turn in with the only kill targets being plants or other low level monsters in the zone. Help me find the best farming spot guys :)

I have good news for all you mid-high level novices. I am currently working on finding us a new area to move to, and the exp is really good BUT, its not afk friendly. You need to be active. Once I test out the best zones for this I will post my findings, but work week is starting so may be a couple days. Average exp so far is about 100k every 10-15mins depending on how nice RNG is. At worst its about 100k every 30-45mins. This is why I am still working the kinks out.

@genocidegrand You double click the card with the equipment you want to slot in your inventory. Not sure if you need to un equip it or not, but that is how you use them. It needs a card slot tho. @kidkip Google your RO questions and you will end up with a website called ratemyserver or something like that. Its the best Ragnarok database I have found and I use it for nearly everything

~Final Thoughts and Ideas~ As someone has pointed out below, both you and the monster attack each other at the same time regardless of attack speed. I feel that a nice counter to this would be combat hp regen of some sort - much like the swordsmen passive skill. This bonus would need to be boosted based on your Vitality. Another option would be to alter the hp formula to 1% or x, whatever is higher, but I am not sure what x should be to retain balance. Thought 2: Money looses most of its value about level 50 or so depending on drops. Once you have the best items in the shop (not too hard to do) then all you have to spend on is potions. Another Thought: If you want to test skills out a bit before adding every classes worth, you could in theory add an npc to town that sells various priest buffs for zenny. This would be a good way to test out factors such as how increase agility will effect the game.

4:Since we can equip any armor, but not any weapon, I would advise working on the upgrade system soon. We dont have the damage to really move past a level 20 zone, even at lv 60, and there does not seem to be any damage boost from every 10 points in STR, so leveling is rough. 5: Sound files take up a lot of room, but having a couple changes everything. I would play with this a bit. 6:You cant effectively quick sell while grinding. If you are going to have the option of selling items away from a city, then see about fixing it so your currently highlighted items to sell do not un-highlight when you pick up a new item.

So here is my early review from both a gamer and a QA tester, taking into account what you are working on and planing on adding. This may be several posts. 1:Something feels off with the stats. I played RO while playing this and my growth here feels weaker somehow. I will look more into the stats later to see whats up. 2: I think I heard that you raised the level cap past 99 for now. This may be a good thing if its going to be a while before skills and 1/1's are added in. However as a novice, you level SO SLOOW. I highly advise temporarily boosting exp gain until more content is added. That is one of the secrets to private servers keeping a lot of players over the real game. 3: I both like and dislike the quest system. I would love to keep questing, but sadly, it can take HOURS before I get one. There needs to both be a minimum and maximum random time for quest spawns as well as an adjustment on kill requirements based on the current zones spawn rates.
