Bug found. When using the special bar for the candy stage in levels 180+, the level of the hidden boss is still set for the lower level stages. It is also worth only 1 gem still due to its level. Also you can charge the special bars on lower levels and use them on higher levels too, but that is not really that big a deal.

An issue I noticed is that you have the blue gem shop (that maxes out after 2 buys) you have the green gem shop (that increases in cost by 1 every time you buy an upgrade) and you have the passive green gem effect. After buying an upgrade till the cost is 7 there is no point to buy more. 7 green gems = 28% bonus, where you only get 25% bonus if you buy an upgrade.

(part 4, also the letter limit really sucks for giving reviews) Lastly, and this one is just an opinion. Adjust the skills you can buy with exp to have an upgrade limit counter (such as Lv 0/5 or 0/15). While not knowing when you have all the upgrades can be alluring, when you have to rebirth a few times to max an upgrade out, it looses its glimmer a bit.

(part 3) The game needs some music. Something catchy, but not too repetitive. If you cant make music well, look around at places like Newgrounds for artists. Many of them will let you use their work for free just for putting their name on the game. If I had to give an opinion, every stage type should have its own theme. By doing that you can shorten the size of the music clips and it will be less repetitive. Some things in the game are rather vague in what they do. For example, the Warlock asks for 30 gems, but he cant use them yet. As a player, I cant tell if that means a later floor, or if its just not implemented yet. Around floor 120ish or so there is a corrupted red gem. I can either break it, or try to purify it with MP. However no matter how much I boost my mp, there seems to be no change on it working. Some sort of amount needed should be listed as its not good game design to put something so out there like that.

(part 2) First off you need to work on the balance. Your creation may have looked good on paper but in practice its a nightmare. You have plenty of comments about this so I am sure you know already, but I will break it down a bit for you. Any reward for a task should be worth while. Flat gold rewards I hate to say are often really bad ideas when you are dealing with a rebirth type of game. That means that on your current life, that reward has value, and every world past that it is useless. In idle games like this, your gold % bonus, or flat gem bonus is a far better choice. I feel the growth of monsters is far too steep post 100. Every 5 floors is a rather massive power boost. A single rebirth nets me between 5-10 wave progress due to how few gems a player can acquire from floor 40 to wall. If the game ends at floor 300, this growth curve is understandable, but if it does not - then it is not.

Achievement rewards are really REALLY unbalanced. Getting a flat gold reward is fine, but when its about 1% of a normal mob kill, the reward is pointless. I just got 100t reward for getting to lv1000 skill upgrade where the cost for said upgrade is roughly 20quint or so? Its not even a drop in the bucket. You have a great thing going here, but it needs some heavy rebalancing. It could rival or even surpass the currently popular Clicker Heroes with some work. It all depends on the decisions you make from here on out.

Lastly in a future update I would really like to see another game mode, much like the story one with the hex grids. When I was playing story I felt two things. The first was this was fun, every hex tells me what it has and why I am going there so I can flush my build out as I see fit. With scaling difficulty with each hex I had to be sure I was ready at any given time for the next tier of hexes. The 2nt thing I felt was that story was far too short. I enjoyed building myself up so much that it was already over before I knew it. As such I would very much like to see an endless hex type of mode where every stage makes the game harder, much like the tower, yet you have a good idea of what loot you will get with where you go. Sorry about the 3 posts, Kons limit in messages is kinda annoying. I hope this players feedback helps tho :) ~D~

The monster scaling from 14 to 15 is just insane. It goes from fun and starting to get hard at 14, to why cant I kill half of these things on 15. This is one of the things that is killing my current interest in playing again, so if I am starting to feel that way, others inevitably will too. There is a lack of information on the elements in the game. No spell really uses more then 3 of any one orb with only a couple using 4 orbs total. Adding a couple of very high end spells that need lots and lots of orbs to use may be cool, and there are many ways to go about that too. Could you define the three defensive stats, defense, resist, and armor please? I would assume armor simply lowers the damage you take, and resist is a counter to status effects, but I would like to be sure.

You can have a lot more information by switching to complete combat log in the settings. Not easy to use and it will requires some work from you, but you'll have most the figures in the combat log this way (exact bonus values for attack and defense, dice rolls, damage with armor, armor piercing and absorption ...)

Over all this is a wonderful roguelike that I have already spent many hours playing. A few things I feel could be added to turn this wonderful game into one that could be a legend. The first is small tweaks. As some players below have said, auto explore should default to objective/exit when there is nothing left to do, there is also a bug with auto explore where sometimes it cant find the path. This seems to happen when the only direction to go is diagonal. Carey over information is quite useful. I enjoy being able to see spells once I reach the lv 10 to use them, but it would be nice to see what is needed for prestige classes as well once you get to say lv 5 in them. Replayability is the one thing that keeps games like this going. Roguelikes tend to offer very fast xp & rewards in a very random environment, or some sort of carry over to promote itself to be played again. I would very much like to see some sort of carry over system added to the game, even if its for only 1 mode.

Carry over system is definitely a good idea, but I requires a lot of (re)works for so many things I keep this for another game, build from the start with this idea. Auto-explore will be improved soon (1-3 weeks max)

The odds of finding coal, iron, ect ect is higher with each zone. I get about 2 a pop now at lv 100+ every kill but I have so many types of things to gather it takes a long time to upgrade. Thinking about back tracking a bit since leather stops dropping. side note - please put a cap on copper upgrades. That is such a game breaker having a lv 300+ copper weapon. It removes the point of needing to upgrade
