Sadly, it looks like saves where wiped with the updates. I expect this to happen more often, so curious if you could add a feature to export saves, or perhaps a cloud save? Or do you think your updates would just cause compatibility issues?

No update since the game has gone live has wiped saves - losing saves is usually caused by browser local storage not being enabled (I have never lost a save on Kongregate). You can export saves on the title page by clicking options and export save (and then import by dragging the .asav file into the game window).

@truefire Naa, I dont need a code or anything like that. I had hardly even started. While it may be on my end, its not cookie related, that is for sure. I am currently using fire fox as my browser so that may have something to do with it since they no longer support flash. This is the most likely case since there are no other games on Kong that I have this issue with, and I have a lot of saved games stored. As far as saving the game goes, it either wont let me save, or its doing a copy to my clipboard and not telling me. Either way, I see several other comments talking about the data loss issue so I know its not me alone. It looks like a fun game, and I had fun for the hour or so playing it, but sadly if I am unable to save, I will not be playing this one for now :3

Going to agree with the others. I closed my browser and all progress was lost. Until you have a working save system, I am rating this a 1 star.

"Heya! I've had a few reports of lost saves, but most people seem to be having no trouble. It's quite likely an issue on your computer. There are several things that could cause you to lose your save (deleting cookies, automatic cleanups done by antivirus software, if your computer crashes during a save, bad Flash permission settings). If you'd like, you can PM me some info on roughly where you were, and I can generate an import code for you. In the future, remember to back up your save often (via the DATA menu), just in case. Thanks!"

Did you happen to do an update that caused a data wipe? I lost my save. I mean I was not very far at all, just want to make sure it was a you thing and not a game thing :p

This is a follow up to the reply you gave me earlier about the lag It may be my end if nobody else is reporting it. I am currently using Firefox Quantum - a remake of the original FF to make use of multi core processors. It can honestly only be that or my G card going out, so I will do some more tests on my end to find this out. On a side note - There is a thing you can do to vastly improve replayability in the game. Once its finished, either add a NG+ option where everything gets harder, but stats can keep being raised, or add in post-story missions or challenges, kinda like Disgaia does. That way the story can be quite enjoyable, and then you have a vast amount of completion objectives to do. Just some thoughts :)

I love the game so far, however I have run into a serious lag issue that starts whenever I am targeting all foes for a random target skill attack. Its an easy fix by clicking off the game to un focus it, but this is something to look into. Also, do you have any plans to release this on steam or are you making this Kong only?

Thanks for playing. I will look into the lag but I never had the issue myself though so it will take some time. Many have actually suggested that I release this on steam too but there are already a lot of RPg Maker games out there with similar mechanics with stock graphics and poor story and the result is that these games are considered a waste among the community so I am going to release Medieval Cop on steam first to attract the audience. :)

Sharing a bug I found and some feedback. First: The "Mastery Skill Points if Promoted" display is not accurate all the time. I am not sure what is causing it, but this is the third time it is showing a very outdated number (replacing my lv 70ish master with a 90ish master with one of my masters having 4 ranks in leadership should now show a lesser value? O_o?) The second is more a balance issue. I am finding mid (late?) game, sword and board style is a bit too strong. Focusing everything I have on hit and attack and I maybe get through 10% of the time and that is being generous. On the other hand, even using a shield, they do a LOT of damage still - more then I feel a tank style should be able to do. Take this as you will, it is a sword game after all and swords kill, but just sharing my thoughts on the matter.

I have a question. I notice when you have multiple masters, each one has their own mastery points. My question is, if 2 or more masters have the same skill, do they stack, or is its point so you can focus on maxing a couple skills with a master at a time so you can have the benefit of them all?

This game is a work of art in the making. I would suggest finding some music to add to the game. Finding and/or making a soundtrack that meshes well with the game can be quite hard, but very much worth while in the end.

Oh, one further review of note. The 'level up' system. Im nearly level 70 now and I dont feel hardly any stronger then what I was at level 10. Do you have some sort of plan for this, like a rebirth system or something, because right now, I feel it seems almost pointless in its current state.

This is not the same game I enjoyed in alpha. Its completely different. This is not a negative review tho, just sharing my thoughts as a player. I feel with the current game as it is, there is no real feeling of advancement or enjoyment. It feels more like a chore since as a player, I have little to do other then just upgrade my guild hall every couple minutes, and as a late game view, I only play now about 2-3 times a day, and only for about 2-3 minuets at a time to collect chests.

Ok, after the new update, I need to say, the text needs to be a bit more clear. Perhaps make it more bold, and maybe slighly increase the size of it. I can hardly read it at all over the yellowish orangeish background. Will post more detailed thoughts as I progress.

minor bug report. The Trial version I spoke of early seen in the card castle sticks to the screen after you visit, and it never goes away. 2) the stages are back to how they use to be, with the gold value seen being multiplied by the stage value. 3) Im not sure why, but fighters are way better at doing exploration missions then my adventurers despite the stats. Testing mission 1 shows a major speed increase from just a few million gold dropped in fighter. Will research this more to try and see the cause.

Further passing thoughts after playing with the new card system. The prestige system is most efficient to grind every 2 prestige levels atm. Getting to the third takes several hours, where getting to two is very very fast. I feel this should be deliberated on with what to do as having a large array of prestige levels means little if it takes days or weeks to get a single chest.

Something that is needed with the new card system - each card talks of a quest number, yet outside of before you build your building, you have no indicator saying what quest number each one is. This should be added to keep things simple.

Running a test at max adventurer level on the last quest again. Its still ungodly slow to finish making it impractical to use. Once we have some cards boosting unit damage tho, that may not be an issue anymore. Ill try it out again once we have those.
