I'm not gonna lie, reading the thread for the development of SFH2 being complete is loads of fun. It's just people being impatient about the release and people getting pissed at those being impatient, it's great!
What's the stat boosts for the titles the monsters have? I keep killing a bunch of monster without titles in one hit, then I get to one with a title and suddenly I'm doing one damage while it takes me down with attacks ranging in the hundreds of damage!
I will agree that people should play the game a good while before judging. As for my rant, it was more talking about the balance issues when developers impose microtransactions in a way that gives those paying more power. Even if you can win, unbalanced gameplay is definitely a reason to give the game a lower rating. Saying that no one who doesn't pay has a chance of winning is definitely an exaggeration, but my point still stands. As for the game, you can buy most of the stuff from the store using money you earn from fighting others, or you can simply pay premium money and get it instantly, an example of convenience causing imbalance. You can also buy resources and speed up your buildings.
@Corrupt0 Most people aren't mad that the game requires money, it's that the game is heavily unbalanced in favor of people who pay money. This creates a game that advertises itself as free-to-play, but those who don't pay money have no chance at winning. This creates a terrible playing experience for those people. Developers should use microtransactions in a way that doesn't unbalance the game, but provides convenience for the paying customer. The trick is making sure the conveniences don't, in fact, unbalance the game as well.
@EpicFacez The only comments that are shit are the ones where it's basically just, "This game is bad." If you have something bad about the game to say, be specific in what it is that was bad. Say something like, "The gameplay was repetitive and bland," or, "The story was cheesy." One of my gripes with this game involves the tokens (surprise, surprise). This game is really a single player game with some basic interaction with other players, and the items that are token based are really there to just make the game go by faster, which is okay. This only becomes a problem when that progress is made competitive, in which you basically pay money to be the best of the best. In this case, the leaderboards are based on things that are directly affected by token purchases, which means competition requires that you spend money. This isn't much of an issue seeing as players at the top are already so far ahead that it would probably take years to catch up, but early on this can be annoying.
@Zoronarn: Maybe it's more of a secondary stat? I mean, the game only needs up to 39 constitution for all equipment, and the hp increase isn't very helpful.
@Darkmoodify: According to the wiki, the stats are also required to use some equipment, and the equipment that uses the most constitution needs 39 constitution. Meanwhile, the equipment that uses the most rage needs 90 rage, and the equipment that uses the most control needs 68 control. As far as what the stats do towards damage and health and the like, constitution helps resist abilities and such as well as increase health, while rage and control affect damage and defense, respectively. So yeah, constitution is virtually worthless.
*Has to defend against 15 powerful monsters, receives nothing but defensive turtles which have too little hp to stand up to the monsters and can't attack, and poison spells that can't directly kill enemies*
I can't employ a strategy that works if you don't give me anything that can actually kill things.
I know developers need to make money, but the problem here is that you're selling power. The best items and units in the game cost real money, which means that if someone who spends money faces someone who doesn't and they use the same strategy, the person who spends money will win. Could you guys please rate the game based on the gameplay you have instead of the gameplay you don't have? The game that was uploaded was this game right here, see it as that and not as a demo or a portion of a game.
Guys, the developers would love to release the game on Kong and let it be bought through Kreds, but that just isn't going to happen. The file size is much too large to be uploaded to Kong.
So I ascended, and now my character only takes the quest to kill the boss, and he gets killed every time. Could you possibly allow the character to change the quest from the boss to something else?
