Looks like there has been some speedrunning since I played it last time. I was second and now I'm sixth. Good job, people. I don't think I want to go through this again though :D
I like cavern crawlers. They are just on their way, nobody really knows where they hurry so much, and they don't like crawling slowly in a traffic jam. If you get out of their way, they mean you no harm. Also, what do you think is my favorite color of slime, green or yellow? It is actually black.
LoL, the badge hunters still mad at VasantJ … They might find out Medieval Chronicle 11 is a bit about them, but for that, they would have to put their fingers away from PgDn and read the storytelling and humor, which is what most of fans of these games like about them.
I didn't like the bosses on the usual difficulty level. Not sure why the devs expect me to try my hardest to beat the boss fight just to find out what the warp core was meant to do. I wonder if anyone was able to beat it without any cheat engine, including the devs themselves.
Interesting game, but the lack of in-game chat or Kong players means that I can't even be sure the opponents are real players. The only Kong player who appeared in the game wasn't online on Kong - so it could be the game assuming the player's identity and playing as AI for the player - and poorly. I reached gold league rather easily, and while I'm a rather intelligent guy, I don't consider myself so much of a genius to have such a huge win ratio.
Wow. Got #2 currently. I tried to improve, but I don't think I can improve my execution enough to beat kacper. Not sure if he has better path, but being able to beat MeatBoy impossible badge, I'd say his execution is probably top notch.
I don't really like timing based puzzles, but this one wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I actually kinda liked it and the last level wasn't as hard as some others. A solid 4/5.
Quite a nice little game. I didn't find the difficulty or the game concept too challenging, so I can't give it full 5/5 for myself, but the game design is done well and it deserves 4/5.
I agree with the others that the game could be shorter - it takes much more time than one is willing to spend in one sitting. And one sitting is probably the ideal duration for a puzzle game that is not that hard.
One thing I found enjoyable and others haven't is the pulling of the snakes. It feels a bit like the old snake games, but unlike them, you can just pull it around at any speed you want or even just let it stay static. I found some fun in that. It may be a bit tedious when you need to add the last snake and it both starts and ends in a "hole" though.
HARD BADGE: I got it as a Vampire Reaper, epic and devastating. Vampire heals from physical attacks and this gets very strong in later game, with critical I healed over 50 health in one hit. CRITICAL seem to scale with both strength and intellect, multiplicative. Thus, putting roughly twice as many points into strength than intellect should be optimal, with some stamina and willpower not to be overly fragile. You need NO OTHER ABILITIES, with entangle being useful at times, but unnecessary. What you need however, is RESISTANCES. A resistance of 100 makes you immune to the element. There are ice knights who only deal elemental damage, and there is lots of fire damage as well, I'm not sure about anything else. Equipment is a huge lottery, so if you want the hard badge, you might also need some GOOD LUCK.
Interesting game, but the controls tend to get frustrating as it is counter intuitive by design. If the game had any levels past 27, I would probably quit in this one. It was my intention, but seeing that it's probably the last level, I gave it some more attempts till I finally made it through.
Interesting new antagonist, something fresh for the earlier part of the game, and as always, awesome storytelling. Lots of lore for some of the characters we already know. And some shocking twists that I hope don't end the life of some major characters of the series. Damn, I can't wait for Part 2 ... oh wait, it's already there. Great job VasantJ, two games this time.
However, I see a *recurring issue* with this author's games - laziness with Kong API. Only one metric to base badges on, which requires completion. While I don't expect this game to make it into Best of 2020, I'm downrating it just in case it did. There are people whose fingers are not that nimble, and some even suffer from disabilities. Until you fix the recurring issue, I'm sorry, there is a 1/5 even though the game deserves better.
