not bad, but making it so you almost have to grind or adjust the difficulty is not the hallmark of a well-made game. also, never played the original, or at least don't remember, so no warning that i couldn't use spells on creatures in the air. that's two oversights so far, and i'm actually enjoying this though i rarely have any love to spare--usually utmost loathing--for this particular genre.
simple concept. good progression. the only real problems i can see is that it's designed solely with the mouse in mind: a potential problem if you're a laptop owner. i would also have liked to have keyboard controls, even if only to simply see how downrightly horribly hard it would be on AWSD or arrows. just for funsies.
also, could use more than one tune for the background music. nice for a while, but if you're OCD to get everything, that's gonna get old pretty fast. thanks for the mute, but i shouldn't have to rely solely on my own houselist when this starts to groan on me.
this game doesn't get bad comments because it's old. it gets bad comments because it's defective. i should've have to play it over again because stats won't track right and i didn't think i'd have to snap a screenshot for the easy badge. and i was over halfway to medium badge too. it's also dreadfully overdone and needlessly complex, with no progression curve as far as learning how to play. yes, that's kinda how it was done back in the 70's and early 80's, but that's not what we expect of games now. try again.
and since i've gotta at least take all the time to fail missions i've already completed, assuming my computer doesn't keep lagging and freezing up on me like it already is, to get a badge i should already have since i've literally already earned it is pathetic. whoever decided it's NinjaKiwi week can go and eat dirt. it's a 1/5 game anyway. that's what i almost always rate games with this control scheme. very laptop unfriendly.
apparently, gotta play more of this puss since your stupid stats couldn't track the shielder kills along with my other thousands of kills. same goes for missions. i thought i already put this game behind me. instead, i've gotten my Zombie Assault Champion badge before i've gotten all my others. here we go again...
it would be nice if kongregate would made BotD's of games that award their Easy badges before you hit 18,186 points. not to mention that the game lost upgrades i bought for no sane reason (no i didn't buy another tier). seriously, admin needs to stop tagging these broken games. get with the program, guys.
can't say i love it, but can't say i hate it either. it's an adventure game (point n' click), but without any of the basic elements of your classic point n' click adventure: rather an RPG re-worked to emulate one. interesting idea, if nothing else, but definitely worth a playthrough.
no auto-collect at round end, even if you should be able to grab everything easy-peasy, so minus for that. otherwise, interesting idea. catchy music (arrange/cover), but props for included mute, just in case.
snappy little game. confusing instructions, but then, game doesn't really need 'em anyway. music brings back memories of Sue Kasper and SC2000. been a while since i've had this much fun around here, and i was pretty dubious going in. props, guys. :)
Yeah, the game runs fine in most modern browsers, but Internet Explorer and Safari don't support ogg sound (only mp3), so the music and sfx won't play. I could fix this by adding mp3s of all the music and sound effects... but there are licensing issues with that so I kept the game ogg only and added that message so players would know why the music wasn't playing.
being scarcely more than an rehash that drives you through the exact same motions over and over doesn't make it a bad game. on the other hand, when you're getting dragged into a game that could easily take a couple of hours (17 days) to get a medium badge, it gets a little hard to tell.
fun game. on the other hand, borked the 7/7 first time around. assuming he didn't want the police notified is kinda farfetched, doncha think? i never caught that from the dialogue...
game constantly crashes, yet you keep on adding more and more crap to make it crash even more. i always love coming back to see my tokens having disappeared into the ether for absolutely jack squat. effing brilliant. if you could rate 0/5 stars, you should. i can't believe that there are people that pay for this buggy trash. i quit.
wow. didn't even get past the "enter the character's name screen" before running into the first bug: i held down the backspace button and all of a sudden it's at the far left of the screen. and every time i pressed backspace after that it crawled farther up the screen. props.
not bad, though the last concept set seemed largely unnecessary, as was the hint system, and made for a strange extension to the game. the last 10 or so levels could've been just as difficult without them. otherwise would've and could've made a perfect 5-10 minute puzzle game, as it nearly was. props.
