More programmers should make their games catch hackers like that with obvious traps, and then hidden ban them from submitting scores. (hidden ban means the scores look like they go through, but don't)
► ► ► Infinite Money ► ► ► Keep playing Safe Breaker 450, and open a gold box. You pretty much can't lose, and you make oodles of money. Buy all upgrades.
► ► ► If you want to get the last 2 badges easy (2 hours achievement, and 5000 enemies achievement) buy the best Weapon+ you can. If you have money left over, buy Fire Rate. And just let your ship alone. With Weapon+7 and Fire Rate+4, you can make it through 87% of the game without doing anything, LOL. Also, to beat the Auto-Pause is easy. Get the auto pause warning by clicking outside the game. Then, go back to the game and click the game. Then immediately click outside the game again. This way you can use your computer while the game automatically plays itself!.... XD
► ► ► The easiest way to beat this game and its sequel is often to spam either the 1st, or 2nd squad. In order to spam properly, you must build up 4 squads of units. Fill 1 trench with 3 squads, then send a 4th. As the 4th squad is leaving the trench (due to be too full), also send out the other 3 squads. This will create a devastating wave of units to be sent at the enemy all at once. Assault Soldiers (the 2nd unit choice) is better, but slower to get all 4. And sometimes the AI plays it smart and you get unlucky and an airstrike takes out too many of your soldiers, so the basic infantry is okay too. If you hear artillery coming in, it can be better to send all your units in just in case.
*Sets up Custom Battle to be super easy.* Gets badge in 10 seconds. Shiny hamburger who is a vegan (not a vegan burger) has been achieved. Victory was never been so tasty. *bites Patty*
► ► ► Fun game, HnL. :) But there is a flaw in this game's structure. If I play a battle and barely win, then MOST my squads wont get EXP. Then what will happen is each fight in the future will get harder and harder with no way to get more EXP, since we cannot go back and get EXP that is missing. A fix might be to indicate that there's still missing EXP on some maps to go back and get. And there isn't even a benefit to taking fewer squads. Also, if I purposefully only take 1 squad, and they do all the work, they still get the same EXP as when I split the work between multiple squads, that should be fixed too. Another bit I'd like to see is being able to set marching orders before battle starts, and I'd like the flag leader of each squad to fight, but he would always be last to die. It looks weird with the flagger dying nowhere, or not fighting/pushing an enemy flagger.
So boring. Just like a real burger job. I give most my customers the special house ~nothingness~ burger. Or today's special, the dripping side side side side, sauce, sauce, sauce, sauce, sauce, sauce, sauce.... levitating bun burger.
Nice UI. Nice engine. Crap combat. The intro was pretty atmospheric. But that seems as far as it goes? (And LOL at the comment that QUESTpia has no quests or dialog... the utopia for quests??) I also like that you explain your stats exactly. More games could learn from that. I'd kinda like more automation though. The dragging/selling of gear gets old. Maybe have the game remember I sold the same sword 5 times already. Stat boost potions are like... why wouldn't I drink it? So just make us drink it. I'd also get rid of the bag on the floor and replace it with the item if there's just 1 thing. Or why not place all 3 items on the floor? The bag is boring.
► ► ► Meh,the game doesn't really feel any more grindy than lots of games like this,AKA,games where you have to smash through a randomly generated map, upgrade smartly, explore using good principles, refining your technique on how to approach the map with new upgrades. You have to think about how you build your tunnels, especially to get back to the surface surely, and what minerals to upgrade, what upgrades are worth it. Of course, you dont have to play these types of games with any thought at all. All games of this type(like toss the turtle)let you tackle the game how you want. If you dont think at all,you can just grind grind grind. Like an RPG. All RPGs can be beaten if you just grind EXP levels. But,if you are thoughtful,go for a low day count,or a high day score,or a low time, then you need to think out your moves. I thought this game was pretty fun but short. You only need the Top Radar to beat the game, but I heard of people capturing the truffle even without that. I have no idea how
► ► ► Can anyone beat my top hi score of 192000? =) hri1,I finally got the last rare item, and the final achievement at 6711 points for the Cesar Centurion Helmet. Pyro, yeah, the history of this games world seems to say that dinosaurs took over, ate all the humans, all that survived were the minions, wherever they came from :p GameDeveloper,Ideas: 1) Make Radar the Down button 2) Make dynamite more fun+useful, let us choose when to use it. The way we should use it is by holding down the Left Click to change our shot into dynamite 3) Make oil give a small bit of energy 4) Make radared items always visible so I can get back to them 5) Make better radars autodetect SOME items when you get close 6) Put day counter on screen 7) Put energy cost on cursor so we know how much energy each Drill is BEFORE we shoot 8) The Lava Death medal cannot be gotten after getting the truffle. Solution, let us capture the truffle+lava suit repeatedly 9) Randomize the start location,Deserts, jungle, backyards
► ► ► Mind Blown Realization: Jurassic Park gone wild. Human Bones are found from stata 200 to 3000 meters down. Dino Eggs are found from 100 to 1500 meters down. This must mean that dinosaurs repopulated the Earth, and destroyed the humans, from 200 to 1500 meters. That's when the little Despicable Me Minions, took over. Or perhaps, Humans evolved, or genetically engineered themselves into the Minions after being brutalized by the Dinosaurs for too long....
► ► ► I got the top high score of All Time: 192,000. Anyone can beat it? =) @Tim,Solar recharge is by going back to the top(use slanted drilling and watch for dynamite)on low energy. You need to use the Recharge to beat the game fast,as going deep gets a lot of money,as shallow digs makes money slow. Also recharge is good for hi scores. Its part of the strategy. You can cancel the END DAY menu at 0 energy.Bugs:Getting the Truffle prevents you from getting the the Lava Death badge. Suggested fix:Let us hunt the truffle infinitely so we can get the lava suit infinitely. This is more fun anyway. Ideas for game:Change Radar to Down arrow. Let us keep dynamite and use it by jumping & using D arrow. Let us find the GREAT RARE items repeatedly after we get them all Rare Items Badge. Make a High Score for how many Rare Items we got. I'm at 56 rares. Let oil give us a bit of energy so we hunt for oil. Randomize the top area so it looks like we dig in different places, like jungle/cliffs/desert
Can someone explain why there's a burning helicopter in the center of the earth? Also, what's up with the seal on the title screen and the right wall? And is that Nyan Cat at the top of the left wall?

Tip: The best items I find are not the offensive items. But the defensive items. Damage Taken -2, and Regen per Tile, and 33% Full Restore, and Gold Bonus. Contrary to the opinion of the top Best Comment, you get MORE experience when you use defensive items, because EXP comes when you swing your sword more. Killing enemies quick means little EXP.
Yup, you are supposed to not want to get Threat. So one of the costs to getting threat is losing your glyphs. The more you search, the tougher the final boss becomes, and the less chance you have at a Free Revivals. Also, yes, when your team dies (without a Glyph) you lose everything. That's what a "rogue-like" game often has. Think of it like Diablo hardcore mode.
►►►►► How To Be Unbeatable:Always take 2 Beast Masters+a Necromancer. Always use bows so you can both go first+let the enemy come to you ►Always set your 3 members up in an L formation. The L formation makes it so any 1 character can revive any other 2 characters. ►If fighting a boss who only does Melee,is fat(2 characters wide)then use the L formation in the corner with 1 empty space. A Fat Boss can never ever hit you. With bows you will always win these fights. Example if you are in the top left corner of the screen, set your characters as:1st char, 2nd char, then on the next row 1 empty space, then the 3rd character. Big characters can never hit character 1 in that formation ►Pick off the weakest enemy first,or ones can attack 2 times a round. ►In Survival,Warlocks might be best. Eventually the game gets so hard you need to stop the enemy & Warlocks stun all enemies 1 turn. BUT,BeastMasters are still great since you can get wiped out on an unlucky starting position. A mix might be best
Bugs: Teleport staff + Platemail doesnt work. Shadow + Singing blade doesn't work. Amulet of Full health doesnt work. Berserker bonus doesnt work. Filling up the screen with Spider Eggs crashes game. If my 3 characters die, but I have a helper, I might get game over. Necromancer can move onto summoned Skeleton. Fat Melee Enemies cannot reach me if I configure myself right. Like if I space out dead bodies near a corner. Music and SFX mutes are brokenish. They often turn back on. For example when going from title screen to game, and when winning the game. Sometimes I had an issue where SFX off/on counted as a mute for both music and sfx. Revivals can be done twice on 1 character.
