Best strategy is to upgrade your Santa to max, upgrade your reindeer HP to max, then use the reindeer as a shield in the final battle. Also worth it to target the dark reindeer.
Wear the wrong clothes and you can't complete some training (i.e. the viking helmet or frying pan in the avalanche). Jump key doesn't work (on most recent Google Chrome) for the final battle making it impossible to get the badge. If you have multiple ducks (not needed to win everything btw), they get in each others way. Hard to click stats, they eat each other's stamina feed, etc. Also no stat differences for ducks - the egg colors are just the color of your duck. What is the point? Lots and lots of grinding here with unfinished feel. Very frustrating not to be able to finish due to a glitch. 1/5.
Too much luck involved. Flu wipes out your population, lose all your cash at the wrong time, and it is all over for you - particularly if bad breaks happen early in the game. Key to success is to get lucky early, not to increase your employee count too high by upgrading corporate capacity until you've maxed your sales, and to be patient. If you have good cash flow going at a particular setup, ride it. Those last corporate capacity upgrades can be killer, so save up first!
Tips: Shotgun and laser are the only weapons you need. Repeating levels early for cash, focus on getting laser (and maybe armor) while ignoring other upgrades for easy win. Plusses: Asking for sound in setup is awesome; the A.I. is cool; controls easy (space, q or e for weapons switch is so simple!). Minuses: Needs details on what you need to get medals; the boards are too tight, limiting strategy and ability to dodge; some additional benefit for being patient, having the right weapon for the board would be nice - right now you pretty much just arm laser and fire away.
50% towards being a good game, but that extra 50% is really frustrating. Saving game is a pain, the controls are awkward (do I go up or left to get there? Oops, an item is in the way I can't move), inventory limits (if you collect the things you have to, no room for anything else), prices on items not well thought out (e.g. health potion math doesn't add up), trees block view of play (can't see the bad guy to click on him to attack), etc., etc. Concept is good, could be great in next incarnation, now . . . really not. It is painful trying to hang in to get the hard badge, not because of the challenge of the game, which I would enjoy, but because of the hurdles that poor follow-through of a good design have put in the way.
To win, you need to make your own gun. Cheaper and more powerful. Max out fire rate and damage, set energy to 20. Put a few up front of your tank and you are golden. Upgrade energy recharge rate as a priority to make your weapon very powerful, then work on armor recharge and damage. Once you get into upper levels with a very strong tank, level 35 is an easy level to earn money for the other achievements, giving you 120k per time beating it, in only about 30 seconds.
The reset button is great - I customize my bunny for the different tracks -- a commando works well in the kitchen, an engineer works great in the garden, etc. My favorite setup that works well anywhere is rocket launcher with poison, splash and damage maxxed (destroyer points), gun speed maxxed (commando points) and the balance into engineering $ decrease and poison towers. What makes the game a solid 5 stars is that there are dozens of ways to set up your bunny, each working a slightly different way, but each working. Just great balance.
Made up words and bad spelling in a typing game? Add to that weird bonus calculations and boss battles where keystrokes don't register well and I remember why I've left this game alone so long. Came back know only for one of my last medium badges and it is frankly painful to play. Admittedly better than the original version which was really glitchy but still needs help. I'm a pretty decent typist, so I though it would be fun, but alas, no.
Beautiful game like the others in this series. The addition of the animation is stunning, particularly on the last level. The paint splotch level is ridiculous though. 5/5
Apart from idiotic energy system that grinds your game to a halt, when you are waiting to recharge, after a few minutes it logs you out. If you walk away while it recharges, you get attacked in 1v1s and you lose money. Really, REALLY annoying game, all the more so because it could be really good if it weren't a moneygrab attempt. 1/5.
If you want people to want to play your game, don't include an Energy mechanic that actively prevents them from playing it. It could be fun, but when I have to stop every 5 minutes because I ran out of energy takes the fun out of it and I goto Armor Games. I understand asking us to pay Kreds for bonus items, but forcing us to pay Kreds to refill our energy just to play the game AT ALL is not good business. I will simply go play a different game instead. You're not doing yourself any favors. 1/5 until the Energy issue is fixed.
A money scam, includes facebook ads, forces you to buy energy, lies about what happens if you rate it 5 stars. Join me and give this game 1/5 until the energy reload is quicker.
