A completion badge is now live! I was going back and forth about whether completing this game should be a medium badge or a hard badge. It's kind of in-between, but maybe it should have been a hard badge. Most of the puzzles are pretty straightforward, but a few are more obscure. Really obscure, actually... bah, maybe the "medium" label was a mistake. Hi everyone, the Ragnarok Spell is now live and unlockable if you complete the first 3 campaign missions in Spellstone! Apologies for the confusing messaging about this event over the last couple of days -- we were working through some technical issues, and I did not intend to leave the challenge live over in Spellstone (whoops!). Anyway, everything should be working properly now.
We know this game isn't new, but we're giving it a spot in Hot New Games anyway because of an email the developer sent us: "We are doing a study on automatic game balancing using my game, Nano Empire. We have some exciting early results suggesting that we can improve game engagement with an AI, but we need more data from players to confirm that this is working." So get to it, players -- generate that data!
Hi everyone! Badges are live now, but there seems to be some kind of bug on Kongregate's end with the achievements tab being displayed improperly. We're aware of this issue and working to fix it as fast as possible. Please don't blame BDAEntertainment for any badge-related problems -- they're already submitting data to Kongregate perfectly, and there's nothing else they can do to address this bug.

Yeah, this game is old, but it's a classic! And since we don't really have a "Hot Classic Games" section, it's going into Hot New Games! (Plus, it's new to Kongregate, so that counts.)
Completion badge is live! (spoilers ahead) I know that the ending isn't a perfect reversal of the grandfather paradox, but close enough for the badge name...
So, yeah, this is the first time we decided to include a hard badge in a quest. It's definitely one of the best games from 2015, and it's not really THAT bad if you use the walkthrough. But if you're actually working through this legitimately, without a guide, and you're stuck, and frustrated, and it seems like the Kongregate quest designers have given up on you... then I'm sorry. I guess I could have made a second easier badge for just doing the first level or something. But it's too late for that now, so this apology will have to suffice instead.
I know this game is a bit old, but people seemed to like the Christmas badge in Starlight Xmas, so I figured it was worth adding a couple of badges here too. I'm also looking to add badges to some other older games, since it's been pretty slow lately.
Okay, so I tried to add a badge to this game today, but something in our system was bugged -- it wasn't earnable, and it wasn't showing up anywhere on the game page. But it was showing up under "recently badged games," so I just deleted the badge to make this game category less of a lie. We'll dig into what the problem is and put the badge back up on Monday.
