Badges are live! This is definitely the best game we've gotten on the site in a while. I was on the fence about whether to assign a hard badge to all 12 challenges and hard modes, but I actually did it myself and had a lot of fun with it. Mix up your strategy if you're having trouble -- even levels 9 and 11 are totally doable with the right setup!
It would not have been possible for me to write this without the inspirational influence of Terry Pratchett. When I first stumbled across the quote that's now in the loading screen, I hadn't even started writing this draft yet, but it just fit so perfectly with what I wanted to say that I knew I had to open with it. I even decided to add an otter character to the story purely because of that quote. RIP, Terry Pratchett -- you may be gone today, but your impact on this world will never be lost.
Okay, a second badge is live due to popular demand! Note that badge difficulty is based on the assumption that you're not using a walkthrough, so if you use a walkthrough and complain that the hard badge is too easy, just know that you're a terrible human being.
Thanks! :D I feel the difficulty level is well justified as it requires some patience. Even if player finds a step-by-step walkthrough it still requires some effort :)
Badges are live! Some tips for "insane" mode: If a stat other than cooldown reduction can be capped, you probably want it at or near the cap (5 bullets, 100% lucky strike, 200 rate of fire). It's worth using some lower-level items (such as the lucky horseshoe and skull aim pro) to get these numbers up. Once you have that settled, choose the best items with stats you want for the remaining slots. Good luck!
Easy badge is live! I wanted to promote this game, but I don't think many people are going to learn Japanese just to earn badges, so I decided to just have an easy badge early on, after completing the first set of characters. If you want to learn Japanese, keep playing! If you just want to earn the badge, I promise it's super easy.
A completion badge is live! As a side note, this game has some really deep themes that are worthy of reflection. We are all magicians of our own realities, and these realities are projections of consciousness. All is one, one is all, and all is mind. Awakening arises from within.
Due to technical issues with the white screen, Tower of Greed has been removed from the Pixel Pack quest. However, since the game still seems to work for some people, I'm leaving the badges up for now.
Badges are live! I almost made the hard badge a medium instead, but people on the forums found the last boss harder than I did. Some tips: Only shoot the boss and the zombie-summoning capsule (the latter gets priority). Only target the smaller zombies with your dynamite ability; let your teammates take care of the rest. Keep your skills on cooldown. Have full upgrades. Good luck!
"This and no other is the function of the serum we manufactured at the boarding school when we were young. It is something that we didn't understand by that time: to accompany the mind to the proscenium of the big theater, and there, help us look behind the curtain that separates the world of men from the land of truth." So, they were making DMT?
Thanks! :D I feel the difficulty level is well justified as it requires some patience. Even if player finds a step-by-step walkthrough it still requires some effort :)
