Umezega: surviving for 100 seconds on any of the modes isn't THAT hard... I did it on all but Crazy, which is absolutely insane (survived about 15 seconds). Regardless of that, the engine is still awful.
did still get 100+ on level level, total time of 601, and beat all 10 levels... but DAAAAAMN Crazy is hard. Regardless, this is a dumb game. Not hard, just stupid.
This game is awful... the balls don't follow a specific path, nor do they bounce off each other. They are like little blue homing dots on you... and will even change direction in the middle of a straight line to come after you. Stupid. Game isn't hard at all to get 100+ seconds on... just really dumb that it doesn't follow the laws of physics. Instead, it follows the laws of "I'm going to chance your little black ball, no matter what angle it forces me to bounce at or change direction at in the middle of moving in a straight line."
should add a better stat feature for the API... first and last biff? WTF is a biff? Also, as KillSmiley said, the avoid green game is 10x easier than any other game... just got 10.6x multiplier, with 15 games dead by 2.0x, then went 360 straight combo on avoid green. lasted 720 seconds. But, really, the fact that it doesn't even have 10.6 listed for "last biff"... just 10... that's really silly. Should, at a minimum, have your time lasted. If not your carbs and/or top combo.
Needs Kong API... we NEED badges on a game like this. Very well done. Also, needs more than 3 characters for high-score entry. Finally, do the levels end at some point? If so, where.
Definitely WAY too many pieces given per level... was able to do every single level with less pieces than given. Needs more optimization from the creator to increase difficulty level.
3rd level is glitched... it seems to activate the spikes based on your location. If you go a tiny bit left to activate the spikes in the upper-left, and then you start just right of vertical, no spikes come where you are standing and you can just stand there for the entire song.
Few MAJOR issues:
1. some of your music is used without permission. Clearly you do not have permission from Konami to use Butterfly or Bumble Bee. Never heard of the 3rd song, but I'm assuming that is used without permission also.
2. Butterfly is by Smike.dk, not Aqua.
3. Your Up/Down arrows are reversed. In real DDR (or any 4-keyed game) it goes Left-Down-Up-Right, not Left-Up-Down-Right.
4. Only played Butterfly hard. It's way off-sync and is a really bad stepchart. Also, it isn't hard at all.
Check out http://www.flashflashrevolution.com for how to do a game like this correctly.
i used 2 skill points on making it easier to level... and i didn't notice any difference on level. monsters still gave the same exp, and it took the same amount of exp to level up.
Nabb: my main strategy was to continue to attach the upper left and upper right corners, making balls to knock the balls away, then repeating in the newly created empty space. But, it's REALLY helpful to be able to trap the balls. Makes it easy. And is, in fact, a strategy to intentionally trap the balls. But if you work to trap them, and they magically re-appear outside the trap... you are actually worse off than you were before trying to trap. Not to mention, it completely takes away the ability to produce balls in the upper right corner, because too often you try to make one, and a magic crushed ball appears out of nowhere, popping your ball-in-progress. I'm with Creed on this all the way. Either make it so the balls remain trapped when crushed (aka, pushed to one side or the other, but still in the same spot, basically) or have them disappear altogether when crushed, which would make sense as well.
great game.... except for the fact that 50% of the time that you trap balls, they get "crushed" and wind up re-spawning in the upper right corner. Which I have to assume is a major glitch, because it completely kills strategy throughout. Makes it rough to get huge percentages at lower levels, and makes it rough to pass leves beyond 20.
Got to 1 million and killed myself. Had 3 lives left still. Had a hard time even killing myself on purpose with the autofire. Fun, but got boring with being too easy at high levels. Would also like to see a counter that says what level you're on. Plus, add the Kong API please.
