Maybe its just because I'm an 8-bit audiophile or maybe its a real homage, but the selection of music that plays at the beginning of each level after taking off from the aircraft carrier sounds almost note for note like a riff out of the original Castlevania. Either way, I love it. Check out the similarity around 21 seconds of the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqBD0BCpUW8&feature=related

I wish more flash game developers would take themselves as seriously as this game does. Story was dark, gritty and wonderful. Light hearted stories are fun, but they're a dime a dozen with flash. Very few developers seem to take a hard line approach to narrative, as this game does in spades. On the other side of things, I wish the game play was more engaging. I was, frankly, bored by the sniping sequences before too long. I still really like the game because of its story, but I think a better game mechanic and pace between cutscenes needs to be worked out. Most of the time I just want the gameplay over with so I can view a new cutscene. Not a good attribute for a game to have. Overall its wonderful for it's dark story and art, but a bit dull in gameplay.

Initially fun, but it wears itself out before too long. Bio-mass is accumulated at a very slow rate compared to the price of better upgrades, forcing you to farm levels over and over. I stopped after a short while of that. A very nice concept for a game though, and I love stomping my mech over the side scrolling maps.

Damn, this game made my afternoon and will likely make many more. I love the fast action and feeling of super strength as I lay waste to the city and my enemies. I also love the fact that the carnage I cause is persistent. It's fun going back to a section of city and seeing that its all but a ruin since I was there last. The music is wonderful (sounds reminiscent of Jesper Kyd in places, but definitely a style all its own) and the dialogue between Melex and Mission Control is endlessly amusing.

Stylistic and interesting, but like so many others I would have preferred the developer move in a more gaming oriented direction. Style of play rather reminded me of the Oddworld series, and I think taking a cue from that franchise would've made the gameplay for this much more fun and engaging, rather than mostly mindless clicking.

I appreciate the difference and uniqueness of this attempt, but I'm sorry to say I didn't find the game much fun. The controls focus on quick movements and action, but the motif demands that you move slowly and carefully. And I really don't feel all that engaged by slowly and carefully transporting cargo on what is essentially a race track.

I enjoyed it enough, especially since I'm a big fan of the arcade rail shooter/runner. Still, this game paces far too slow for my taste. Speed up the entire experience exponentially. In all likelihood, enemies would also have to be redefined, but a proper pacing is the primary thing this game is lacking in my opinion.

Lots of fun. Very hard and engaging. My primary complaint is the wonky physics. Even jumping feels like I'm floating in some low gravity environment. The lack of story may even mean I am in a low gravity environment. I rather wish some kind of narrative was present. Regardless, between the standard platforming and swinging on cables, I'm very turned off. I still think the game is great, I'd just like to see an improvement in the platforming flow.

Damn, people feel so entitled to everything these days. This game gives you hours of playtime for free, and only asks that if you enjoyed that time, spend a measly ten bucks to get 200% more than that and continue on. Really, that's too much to ask of you? You're not even forced to buy it. Just play the demo and have fun, if that's what you're after, but the author is just trying to make a living off his work and the demo is fleshed out enough that it deserves a place on a site devoted to flash games. Seriously, if you don't like the game then don't play it, but don't put it down because the creator gives you a hell of a lot for free, though not all of it for free.

Really enjoyed the game, and yet not a football fan fan. Guess that shouldn't be a shocker since the game mechanics don't revolve around football rules. Anyway, I'd like the game a lot more if the ball would adopt more realistic mechanics and stop steering toward other players on its own. Also, the mouse directional arrow is way off when you're trying to figure where you'll kick. Some cleaned up physics would make this game that much more fun.

I think more games really should take a greater artistic approach, be it through traditional and in depth narrative or a more interpretive style as this game does. That said, this could easily be an art installation, and not be billed as a game. I'd rather see more interaction with art and user input on this. At that point, I'd call this a game. As it stands, it's only half baked. If you're looking at it from a gaming perspective, that is.

I played for thirty minutes and forgot the most recent password, so I'm screwed. Seriously, is this 1995 and I'm back on my Genesis or SNES? I liked the game, but a password system is a joke. The only reason old cartridge based systems used those was because of storage capacity concerns.

In later levels, the absolute moment the stage starts the enemy is firing and ramming me before I can even line up a shot on them. I'm dead before it begins. I love a hard as hell game, but only when the challenge is based on a strong idea. A computer's reflex versus mine isn't my idea of fair play. I was not entertained.

Ugh, I stopped about midway through the first campaign mode. I was winning easily but it took forever for my troops to finally push through and complete just those stages. I even tried multiple strategies (not that the game offers all that many) to better my efficacy, but to no avail.

Others have already adequately vocalized the same issue I have with this game: alien abductions. I'd also prefer some manner of proper help or tutorial. Once you spend some time with the game, you mostly get the feel for it, but without any sort of guidance, I'm a bit lost in the beginning. Otherwise, I would have had fun with this, despite the similarity to all these sort of "toss" games.
