iamhayman, prior to it's corruption by the Nazis, the swastika was a well known and respected symbol of arcane power. Besides, you were playing as evil, weren't you? There has to be some symbiology appropriate to the bad guys.
Fun diversion. Nice art, some fun jokes, worth the time to play. Would be 5/5 except for the annoyance of the inventory system. Two suggestions. First, there is a reason left to right and top to down is in general use. The middle first bag filling strategy is just... dumb and irritating. Second, it's MY bag of stuff. Let me place items where I want them to go, so I can organize things a bit.
Could be so much better. I don't fault the game per se. I think the scenario designs are the problem - too much congestion on the map means that winning requires too much luck in your attacks, and giving the enemy too much depth means it's hard to get that lucky.
For those complaining about a monster eating all your troops one by one - that's what the repulsor support is for, to get the monster back out in front of your troops. Save resources to use it when a hunter reaches your lines.
Cool idea. I won't be playing the game because I find wall defense games tiresome at best. And while some people don't mind resummoning their weapons all the time, I do. So, innovative but not fun for me. The rest of you enjoy it though!
Fast, fun and completely unbalanced. One or two nice points with the addition of the (easily handled) penguins that damage towers. But overall, controls are lacking. Could be SO much better. 3/5
On the other hand, this game forces the Germans to grind it out instead of fight encirclement battles, so the whole thing is completely ahistorical. Call it Blind Risk. Blind because there's precious little explanation of the combat system (or even the game's control systems.) Call it a 2/5.
IRCrimson: You are correct that Russia didn't have so much production. But they brought the Siberian army back to defend against the Germans (once the Russian spy network informed them that the Japanese wouldn't open a second front.) That essentially gave the Russians a huge production boost.
If this game had made any kind of improvements to Mushroom Revolution, I'd rate it better. While playing Mushroom Defender was worth it once, it's never been high on my list to do MD twice. So, not playing this game anymore.
Level 34 is irritating. A kettle getting power and heat in the next square over can light a fuse on a cannon that's facing in one direction but not the other? I call shenanigans. At least the hints let you figure it out without going to a walkthrough, but that's somewhat less than satisfying. Please describe this ability up front so players can use logic. Hidden ball tricks should be in baseball, not this otherwise wonderful game.
I'd give you credit for a first try if there was any indication that you actually care. But seriously, "you shoot shit"? And what instructions you have, are not spelled correctly? Well, you know what, I don't care either. 1/5 because I can't rate it lower. Pretend you care on your next game.
Presentation is nice. But there's no progression. After you figure out a general strategy (and it's not too hard to come up with a winning strategy), you get to play an infinite number of games with no variation. At least in a casino, money is at stake.
Some UI suggestions: The animation button should be sticky. If I turn it off for one scenario, leave it off for later scenarios unless I turn it back on myself. Similarly, when filling tiles, please default to "troops in this tile will be just like the troops in the tile I just built."
