today's mission is one of those rare levels where you can beat the level wtihout firing a shot. Just move the city to the middle of the totems and build collectors to the totems. :D
@lbtb: a more in-depth tutorial is available in the form of "creeper world training sim". It runs on an outdated version of the creeper world 1 game engine, but it covers the core features pretty well.
about the "should i send my weapons INTO the creeper or not?" debate:
There are times when it is VERY effective to send some blasters into the creeper. HOWEVER, you shouldn't need to do so within the 20 levels of the Academy map pack. On the other hand, some of the custom maps (available in the downloadable, payed version) are structured so that you MUST send blasters and launchers into the creeper.
:3
oh, ad august 22's map isn't brutal...there's only ONE event you need to time well, and that's the building and deployement of your first blaster. once that's done, you have plenty of wiggle room-provided you move the city to the landing site on the right.
sorry, zeke, but minecraft creepers share only one trate with the blue goop of creeper world: both are destructive. blue goop is corrosive, green pig is explosive.
@donvan: wait one hour. THEN tell me whether or not you have the creeper under control. MWAHAHAHAHAH!.
@charlie: there is a mute button. And you can mute the music without muting sound effects, but not vice versa.
once you build the xeno module, you can repair your pod for free by standing to the left of the ship. OR you can continue to repair and refuel by consuming those pesky "tiny" materials while mining. oh, and dilute gas. dilute gas is an AWESOME repair material if you willfully ignore the warnings not to keep digging when you get concentrated gas. (lol!)
oh, and for those of you struggling to get gold or titanium becuase you can't survive the temperatures: go to an ice planet. There won't be a lot of it, but there will be enough to complete the cooling system. You can also get deeper artifacts more quickly this way.
to craft more of something after reasearching it, click the item in the cargo bay and click craft from there.
oh, and the two-way teleporters are VERY helpfull, especially with the limited cargo space you have untill rather late in the game.
presssure. piece of cake. Just build up your energy like mad, building less than 5 tech domes till you have around 20 production. then mortars ONLY down on the bottom section. yes, where those makers are you need to set up a *ton of mortars. then crack open the top two sections at your leisure.
i seem to be stuck because...i can't access enouhg JUMP powerups. I know of three. 2 of them are inaccessible because i can't jump high enough. one is blocked by ground. help?!?!?!
I have beaten spaghetti!...ok, so I have 121 zombies left to finish off, but i've blown up all the bridges, and have plenty of survivors, boards, and ammo.
well, i wasn't able to beat spaghetti this time around (save file became corrupted), so I went and did "death park". It was significantly easier than spaghetti. derp?
