I feel like the camera is ten feet off the ground. It would feel much less claustrophobic if zoomed out a bit and any reduction of the silly mouse scrolling would be a plus. Also, disable map scrolling while you have the build menu open. This should help make the game somewhat playable and hopefully get you more comments and ratings.
Either upload the complete game or not at all. I don't want to go to a different site for each game. The entire reason I have a Kongregate account is to avoid this very problem.
Very nice graphics and creative approach. However the experience is a bit shallow. As wave three started I asked myself, "Are people really sitting through twenty waves of this?"
While it seems like a fairly well-constructed game, I found the mechanics overly frustrating. Examples: Very forceful bouncing off some walls. On level four I went backwards through the middle corridor and a laser killed me immediately. Not interested in spending my time on stuff like that.
An interesting concept, so you get points for not bothering with another tower defense or shooter game. I think it would feel much less odd with significantly lower sensitivity. As it is, as you swing your sword back and forth, it's very easy to move the mouse outside of the flash window, which confuses the game and is a bit frustrating when there's an armor-clad jedi angel thing stabbing at you. Still, unique and creative games like this are reason why I come to Kongregate in the first place. Good luck and good work.
Seems like this is a more of a test of game mechanics than a full game. That said, what's here is some pretty high quality stuff. If you can construct a full-fledged game at this same level, you'll be set. Also, good work on the boob jiggle.
Our top story tonight: the mortgage crisis has begun to affect nobleman and peasant alike. Join us after the break as we discuss the king's controversial "stimulus" plan and why so many nobles are satisfied with clearly sub-par construction.
Allen, you've got a pretty good game here. I know you've been hearing this a lot but I really think adding progress saving (maybe even persistent upgrades) would change the game from a 3.5 to 4.5. Aside from that, good work.
The game isn't too bad. It does, however, need quite a few improvements before many people will spend their time playing it. I think the main thing is a total lack of tower data. People who enjoy strategy games want hard numbers! They want to know if 20 gold is better spent upgrading a tower they already have or saving for another. Also, I don't think anyone would be offended if you changed the lounge-country hybrid music.
