I think I fixed the map bug thing! But you'll need to refresh to make sure you're playing v3.3.055 or later, and I'm not *certain* it's fixed nor do I know what'll happen with maps that were already broken. Please tell me if it works okay now...
It makes me warm and fuzzy inside when people dismiss my years of hard work as a mere 'Final Fantasy ripoff' without bothering to play it and see the parody aspects and nostalgia factor... ugh.
Since characters can't fight without weapons, you can only ever replace weapons if you're carrying another; you can't pick them up otherwise, so that's not a bug. I'm still trying to fix the map bug with limited success though, so, uh, please be patient, people...
I'm having difficulty reproducing the map bug since when I save, it *doesn't* happen to me... It surely is something to do with the saving - since the map data is encoded on saving and decoded when you load - but I don't know why it seems to only happen sometimes, and not to me when I try to test it, so there may be some other factor. IF someone can find it and can be sure that what they've found is indeed it, that'd be great.
Also, I've seen walkthroughs uploaded in this manner before, and it had MARDEK 3's sponsor's approval (that sponsor happens to be Kongregate), so I see no good reason why it shouldn't be here. It's not like it's interfering with anything else...
You don't really *need* a Walkthrough for chapter 1 since it's so short and straightforward, surely... There is obviously more detail in the bits for chapters 2 and 3 though; including chapter 1 was mainly a formality.
Oh, but also, though the sticky keys thing is indeed a problem of Internet Explorer, it'd be useful if anyone could find out what causes it specifically since it seems to affect all my games and I bet that people would rate down for it even though it's largely their browser's fault.
I am aware that there's a map-related bug, but I'm not sure what's causing it; I'm having difficulty reproducing it. I'll fix it as soon as I can... but I need to find out its cause first.
I should also add a button to the Game Over screen for those who don't try to use X or Z...
It seems that other than that, any other 'bugs' reported are more from unfamiliarity with the game than anything else.
I think there may be a significant bug when you get to the end and try to load your save at the beginning of the next chapter... I'm working on fixing this now.
I think achievements wouldn't be transferred between episodes if you ever clear the data... It likely happened because of the update that I did to PREVENT all episodes from sharing the same achievement stats.
I have now fixed that bug where you could not lose against the boss! Seems that the old boss didn't actually set up the number of tries at all, so now it does.
I made a significant change to the saving system when updating the episode 1 file (the Game Info now properly shows relics from all episodes), but I tried to make it so your save files wouldn't be affected... I tested it and it worked fine for me without deleting anything, but there may have been some possible errors in unusual circumstances where data may have been lost... It was a one-time thing though; this won't happen again.
Sebine, you are probably using Internet Explorer, which has some ridiculous setting that causes keys to stick like that. Use a DECENT browser, and please do not rate down games for your own technical problems.
It currently doesn't show the relics from episode 1, but when I update that to 'the new engine' (which mostly will just be to add THIS), each episode will show all relics from all episodes... hopefully.
