Dual Machine Gun is awesome. Combine it with Shield Gun to protect yourself from the little bullets. Add some Damage Buffer once you have damage 3 or more (or add two when you have damage 2 or more). In the last level, the gun had 8 damage thx to three buffers, too.
THE NUKE IS A LIE! Also, the game is more about getting repetitive stress injury than about actually enjoying it. 1/5, and not even thinking about playing it on hard or insane, it's insane as it is.
Clumsy controls betray this game a lot. I made it anyway, it only has 27 levels and my fingers don't hurt that bad. It was pretty much worth the epic victory animation. Anyway, if the levels had checkpoints (possibly a choice between easy mode with checkpoints and hard mode with none plus a limited amount of lives or whatever), it would be easier not to ragequit. Oh, and also a player likes to know how many levels are left to go. Anyway, 3/5, I'd gladly give it more if not for the aforemention flaws.
so: (1) you have to kill clusters of enemies, (2) you have to pick up their remainders that fade away in a few seconds and (3) you have to survive. I'm quite close to say I hate this game. Too much things to do at once.
Oh noes, the ratio of 4 HP per 1 attack is gone, 400% damage reflection is no longer insta-kill for the basic enemies ... I kinda liked how the enemies kept disappearing on contact :D
An INTERESTing fact: The resource bonus DOES affect interest, which is probably a glitch. With +1k% max, you get 11% interest rate. I'm afraid to refresh as this might get fixed any time.
OK, defense tree seems fun now that I've earned a lot of special resources by running it offense-only. You can reflect damage and block most of it and have some regen, let's see how long it lasts.
Normal mode, I died in wave 969 on out of memory. I was already thinking about giving up on wave 1000. Good thing the resources and gems are saved on a regular basis, I was slightly afraid I lost it with the crash.
The defense tree, though, seems fairly useless. Even upgraded in workshop, it would probably be much less useful than the offensive tree. I tried to put some resources in it during a game only to realize I can't keep up with their dmg and I'd get one-hit anyway, so 10 hp must be enough.
One thing I kinda dislike is how you basically invent stronger enemies by doing science. And the worst idea is to do the "universal" upgrade - that creates an enemy that is immune to everything but dmg. If only I could un-invent it just to watch how much can I do against white blocks.
Think! Think fast! Oh, and do it against the clumsy controls. That is what I don't like about this game - it is too much about the speed, both score and time bonus. Prizma Puzzle Challenges evolved in the right direction.
It loaded in Firefox just right for me. I don't know what's your problem, guys. Could be some bad settings or a bug that only triggers under some circumstances different than mine.

I think Kajenx is right that strategy is a major factor. However, I think he underestimates the randomity. Sometimes you are on a spell streak and some other times, it seems you can't make even a single one without wasting some more moves to prepare it. And since there is a limited amount of moves, randomity can be a major factor.
I absolutely love this game, the only thing I didn't like is the fact I can't outward create min-max characters with exactly the skills I need. My favourite band is 2x 5-1-1-5, 5-5-1-1, 1-5-5-1.
Now that I think twice - the game deserves 5/5 despite the ships are breaking the laws of physics - the art is great, almost too good for a flash game.
With so many enemies around, I think they should have limited range (and I wouldn't mind if I had too) - it is really weird dodging infinite range cannonballs while being surrounded by so many enemies. 4/5 because of this gameplay issue that made it a bit less enjoyable, the music is however epic, especially the thing in the grand finale - couldn't really be more awesome.
